Letting Go

Well, we are nearing the end of another year. For me, 2016 has been filled with some amazing highs and some mind boggling lows.  However, the highs outweigh the lows.  It’s a good time for me to do a year-end review and decide how I want to enter 2017.  My desire is 2017 be one of the best years I’ve ever had.  I want more for me and more for you.

In order for me to have a great year, I’ve got to leave some stuff behind.  You know, those old habits that lead to nothing…procrastination, jealousy, hanging around people that bring me down instead of lifting me up, the stories I keep making up about myself that are not true, the sedentary lifestyle (which BTW, I heard was the new smoking),  over indulging just because I can, etc.  (Well, they don’t all lead to nothing, but you get my point.)

We’ll do this exercise together and put self leadership in action.  Let’s take a moment and think about what we need to leave behind. Get out a piece of paper and write, “Today, I let go of ……”  Then list everything we desire to let go of and leave behind in 2016.  Hang the list up somewhere so you can see it everyday.  I plan to hang my list on the bathroom mirror for my daily dose of “gentle reminder.”

Please share what you desire to let go of and leave in 2016.  I’d love to hear about it. Also, if you haven’t done your 2017 Vision Boards yet, now is a great time to get those done as well.  If you’ve never done a vision board or not sure how to get started, email me at Marci@cellettacoaching.com and I’ll send you directions.  It’s a great way to plan for 2017, especially now that you’re letting go and making room for success.

  1. Great post. Letting go is so needed. It makes space for the good stuff that we want to fill up on. I would say I am letting go of playing it small. Letting go of taking action just because it seems like it will make more work. Letting go of staying stuck in the comfort of the same. Thanks for asking- and Happy New Year!

  2. Yes, I took some time this past weekend to reflect over 2016 and celebrate what went well in my life and business and to examine what I needed to let go of as I moved into 2017. Letting go of lack of daily physical movement. Letting go of choosing fear instead of love. Letting go of overwhelm.
Thank you for allowing us to share.
